I've been injured, can I still participate?

Depending on your injury and stage of healing, you will be welcome to join a Level 1 class or we can arrange a 121 session where the instructor will assess you and support you in your rehab. Please get in touch with our team by emailing hello@thespacetomove.com to discuss your injury so we can advise on the best path to take.

When can I join a Level 2 or Level 3 class?

We recommend that you take a minimum of one to three Level 1 sessions and talk to your regular instructor before you try our intermediate / advanced classes (Level 2 and 3). You need to be comfortable with the most challenging Level 1 classes before progressing up a level. In an intermediate / advanced class you will be expected to work at a higher intensity and also be comfortable with doing more of the advanced exercises on the lighter springs, with ease.

Do my class passes expire?

Each class pass has an expiry date. These dates vary depending on what pass or package you purchase. The expiration period is activated on the date you take your first session. The expiry dates are clearly stated at the point of checkout and you can view this after purchase in your Momence account. You can extend an expired pass for the cost of £10/week. This can be arranged by emailing hello@thespacetomove.com

What happens when my class is cancelled by the studio?

We will always aim to run classes that have a minimum of three bookings but in the unfortunate event where we need to cancel then you will receive an email and/ or SMS notification. Your credits will be reinstated back to your account to be used for a future booking.

Why didn't I get a booking confirmation?

If you don’t have a booking confirmation then please double check your junk folder to see if the email was delivered there. Please also check your bookings in your Momence account. If you can’t find it in your class bookings then it is likely that your booking didn't go through & in that case, please rebook.

I'm pregnant, can I still participate?

We ask you to refrain from exercise until you have had your 12 week scan and you are signed off by your GP or midwife to start exercise again. Regular The Space To Move clients are welcome to re-join their classes, as long as the teacher agrees. Prior to your session, please email hello@thespacetomove.com so we can make your instructor aware. For Postpartum clients - you are welcome to re-join after you have been signed off by your GP / Health visitor. Please just make your instructor aware at the beginning of the session.

I'm waitlisted for a class, what happens if I don't get on?

If you book on to the waitlist of a class, you will either be charged or it will use one of your passes upfront to complete the booking. If you don't make it off of the waitlist & on to the class then your account with be automatically reaccredited with a pass. Waitlist cut off's are 60 minutes prior to the class starting time. If you're on the waitlist for an early morning class then we recommend removing yourself the night before if you no longer plan to attend. This helps avoid a pass being used if automatically added overnight.

I can see the classes online but I'm being told that I don't have access to book, can you help?

All of the classes we intend to run are available to view on the schedule. Intro Offer, Package & PAYG clients will have access to book their classes up to 3 weeks in advance. Founding & Unlimited Members get priority booking at 4 weeks. Anything after that won't enable you to book until 3 or 4 weeks prior.

I'm new to the studio, how do I get started?

All new clients to our studio, whether you've tried Pilates elsewhere before or not, are recommended to take a minimum of one to three Level 1 classes. Every studio is different & this way we believe you will fully understand the equipment and how it works, the foundations of the exercises and get the most out of your experience with us.

What do I wear to class?

Wear something you feel comfortable to move in. Please note, we are a small studio and don't have a designated changing facility, so it is always best to arrive ready to start your class. On arrival, we ask for shoes to be taken off and stored away in our designated shoe storage. For safety and hygiene, we ask that you wear non-slip socks during your class. Pilates grip-socks can be purchased at the studio.

Do you have parking?

There is no parking at the studio. Limited on-street parking is available on and around New Road. We recommend parking at Hathaway Retail Park, a short 4 minute walk away where you will get 3 hours of free parking.

Where is the studio?

We are to the rear of 14 New Road, down a side road nestled between Domino's Pizza and Mane Hair Company. As you walk up the road, we are the unit on your right at the end of the path.

What happens if I'm late to class?

Please always aim to be 5-10 minutes early for your session, so you are ready for when the instructor welcomes you into the studio. It is important to be on time so you can set yourself up on the equipment and so your instructor can check in with you. Of course, best intentions can be at the mercy of traffic and public transport, however due to the size of the studio if you arrive more than 5 minutes after the class has started then we are unable to accommodate you due to safety reasons & the door will be locked. Unfortunately your booking will be treated as a "No Show" appointment and you will lose your class pass which is non refundable.

What happens if I cancel my class?

Cancelling your class is really easy to do via our booking system - Momence. Please remember that your pass will only be returned to your account if you cancel 24 hrs before your class starts. As per our cancellation policy, Late Cancels (0-24 hrs) and No-Shows will forfeit the pass you made the booking with.
